Selection Procedure

Each year approximately 1000 students apply for the 50 places in the first year of the architecture degree programme. In order to select the appropriate students for the course a three strand system of evaluation is employed. All students applying are invited to sit a suitability test, which has been specifically designed to measure potential creativity, spatial reasoning, maturity and commitment. The top one third students sitting this test are then invited to interview during which they may present portfolios of work. The results of the suitability test, the interview and their second level academic achievements are combined to make the final selection.
