Research and Post-graduate Activities
Research activities within the school are both pure
and applied with the greater emphasis on applied research. Post
graduate students can pursue master degree awards by supervised
research programmes. Currently a range of research activities are
being carried out by various members of staff. One specific research
area currently being undertaken jointly by five staff members involves
the development of a new methodology for the teaching of architecture
using electronic communication through interactive DC and the world
wide web. This development in theoretical aspects of architectural
education had its origins in part in an international Conference
on Architectural Education hosted by the school in February, 2000. |
